South Cambridgeshire MP to hold live-streaming Q&A for constituents

The MP for South Cambridgeshire will take to Facebook Live tomorrow (Thursday) to answer constituency questions.

Anthony Browne (Cons) said he will be holding the online question and answer session at 4pm.

The recently elected MP said he wants to maintain contact with constituents despite the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown.

Questions can be asked in advance via Mr Browne’s Facebook, Twitter or Instagram pages, and he will also answer questions asked throughout the live session.

A recording of the session will then be posted afterwards on Mr Browne’s Facebook page.

Mr Browne said: “We’re all having to make adaptations during this time, and while coronavirus has changed how I run my office, it will not stop me from effectively representing my constituency and listening to the concerns of residents.

“I understand people are concerned about a whole host of issues, not just relating to coronavirus, and want to ensure they can still speak directly to their MP while I’m unable to meet with them face to face.

“This is my first ever experience with Facebook Live, and I am keen to explore the ways we could be using technology more effectively to keep people updated.

"I have also launched a new online newsletter this week, and am constantly looking for ways to improve communication with everyone in South Cambridgeshire at this time.”
